Donna Joy West is a mom of three school aged children and one adult son. She resides with family along the beaches of beautiful Lake Erie, Canada, just a short distance away from breath-taking Niagara Falls.
Donna considers herself a "prairie girl" at heart, as she grew up in a contemporary-Mennonite-Christian home in North East Saskatchewan as well as attended Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta. She also has an appreciation for people of different cultures and backgrounds as she has lived and worked in China, where she taught English as a second language.
Her formal educational background includes Intercultural and Biblical Studies, TESOL, E-Commerse and Business Administration. Donna has also taken courses, classes and self-studied various other fields of personal interest including, nutritional therapy & disease prevention, healthy lifestyle group leadership, unplanned pregnancy care support, healthy and destructive relationships, prayer counselling & inner healing,
Donna's attribute's much of her interest in holistic wellness to spending time learning from her grand-mother, who she remembers "working miracles" in the physical health of family, friends and clients through massage, reflexology and natural remedies.
Donna is inspired & energized by quiet reflection and solitude in nature. She enjoy's reading, writing and singing. She is a deep thinker and loves heart-to-heart conversations. On the flip side, she also loves laughing and finds humour in light hearted fun, especially with her kids!
In addition to caring for her home & family, Donna currently works outside of the home as a support worker at a local Pregnancy & Family Support Centre and also as a social media content creator for a local health food store. In the past she has done everything from waitressing, to teaching, e-bay entrepreneurship, business administration and direct selling in the wellness industry.
Donna's writings reflect her interests of study as well as her faith and spiritual journey in relationship with the God of the Bible--who she has experienced to be the very definition of Love. She has a passion for sharing God's Love, which transformed her life as a teen mom, saved her out of toxic relationships and carried her through various struggles and challenges of life and grown in her... hope, wisdom and strength
